SPEAKER_01Did you just sh me?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. This for sure passes as southern. And I said, wait, really? And they said, haha.
SPEAKER_01Southern Utah?
SPEAKER_02No. He said, haha. You are going for more Louisiana, Mississippi. Sorry, sounds like. But if you dial it back a little, then it sounds like Dallas. But this is the thing. I don't know how to dial it back. I'm just like, it just comes naturally.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because you're Southern at heart.
SPEAKER_02I I really am. You want to know what I did today?
SPEAKER_01Oh no.
SPEAKER_02What did you wake up to?
SPEAKER_01What did I wake up to? Yeah. Oh, your picture of your horse?

SPEAKER_01Oh, and you no, no. Oh, oh, uh, oh. The TikTok of how to deal with migraines with some weird clip thing?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I I have seen. This is like the fourth TikTok that I have seen where it was like, someone in science explained this to me. Why do no migraine medicines work? None of like the traditional way, but you put a claw clip on your eyebrow and it takes it away. So worth a shot.
SPEAKER_01But I'm worried that if you wear it there long enough, so it was like for context, it was like little hair clips that people put like right here. They get a little skin and they clip it around all the way. And I think it actually would help a little bit because when I do get a bad one, I'll like pinch right there. There's something something weird. Like some nerve right there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't get it. But I have worried that I'd wake up looking like Beauty and the Beast or like hump back in Notre Dame. You know what I mean? Like with the weird, like thick eyebrow. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, I saw one girl because that the one that I sent you, she had like a bunch of like little butterfly clips that she did like all the way across. I saw one girl, she just had like one claw clip like that big, and she just did it like right here. So it was just like one piece of like on the exact spot. Yeah, so she would. I mean, she didn't say like it has to be this, she just like clipped it to her eyebrow. There were like two, and it was like this.
SPEAKER_01Interesting. Interesting.
SPEAKER_02So maybe worth a shot.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, maybe. But I'm trying to not complain about the migraines anymore. You know, I'm just trying to be well positive.
SPEAKER_02I will say the other day I had a headache. It wasn't even a migraine, it was just a headache. And I was like, I don't know how Zach deals with this 24-7 because I wanted to die. I was in the worst mood. I don't know how you like continue like living your life as like a normal functioning human because I had to go sit in a dark room. I didn't want to talk to anybody, I was in the worst mood. I was like so snappy.
SPEAKER_01So you understand why I get on edge?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because I do get on edge a lot, and it's because of my head. And so now you see, because sometimes you look at me like I'm a freaking insane psycho person sometimes. Because you're like, Zach, why are you so on edge, Zach?
SPEAKER_02Even today, like even today, I don't even have a headache, but I just feel like a little feisty today. And I don't know what it is. Capri says that it's because we're in our luteal phase.
SPEAKER_01Heck is that?
SPEAKER_02It's like a part of like your menstrual cycle. Oh it's like the luteal phase is like leading up to the week of your period.
SPEAKER_01I appreciate the education.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, anyway, back to what I was saying. I sent that at like 6 a.m. and you were like, why are you even awake right now?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was confused.
SPEAKER_02And I was like, I couldn't sleep. So then I just woke up and I went in to the barn at like 7 a.m. Road dock.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Hung out for a few hours. Then I went to West.
SPEAKER_01But you being productive. I know.
SPEAKER_02Then I went to West and swim lessons. Because they're just like right around the corner from my barn. And he did so good.
SPEAKER_01I know. It's kind of crazy how well they're doing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But uh anyway. The accents were good. I uh I thought yours was yours was good. Yours was good.
SPEAKER_02Can you do an accent?
SPEAKER_01What do you want me to say?

SPEAKER_01See, Megan always gets mad at me because I don't like doing the accents. Just because I know I suck at them, and so that she gets mad at me because I she just says that I ruin the fun. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02I'm getting I'm gonna get an accent coach, and I'm gonna like learn how to do all these different accents. Because I love an accent. Doesn't matter what it is, I love it.
SPEAKER_01Do you think you could be an actress?
SPEAKER_02No, I would be so bad.

SPEAKER_02Because I can't keep like a straight face.
SPEAKER_01You live in a straight face.
SPEAKER_02Like that is your natural No, but like having like a camera right here and like everybody watching you, and it like essentially you're just playing pretend. Like when you really think about the job of an actor, it's like really cringy. So like I just like I would just laugh.
SPEAKER_01Have you seen those videos of Leonardo DiCaprio when he like switches into character?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_01There's like a famous one from The Wolf of Wall Street where he's just like sitting there, just staring at the ground, and they say action, and then it's like he wakes up and it's like a totally different person. It is wild.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like I could never do that.
SPEAKER_01It's impressive. It makes you respect way more what they do.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I mean, no, they're very talented to be able to do it with a straight face and to like become the character. I could not.
SPEAKER_01Well. But you have all the voices, so you seem to work on becoming a character. Could be good.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we'll see.
SPEAKER_01Uh alright. So what else? Any updates from the last couple days? Anything new in your life? If not, I'll go.
SPEAKER_02Um, I'm going to get my horse. My my new horse.
SPEAKER_01Your second one.
SPEAKER_02Well, I haven't bought her yet. She's a lease.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02So yes, my second horse.
SPEAKER_01Can you just explain the logic to me of why you need two? I'm still confused, like, why? What are you gonna do with two horses? Is there like a training method or just to have?
SPEAKER_02No, it's just like you have two horses. You ride two horses, you train on two horses.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02Why not?
SPEAKER_01It's like have like a second pair of shoes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's like, why do you need two bags? This is how I explained it to Rachel, because she also was asking me this. I said, Why do you need so many bags? If you have one purse, just use that purse for everything. And she was like, Well, no.
SPEAKER_01This is like a living animal.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's okay. So why do people get so many dogs? Why do people get so many cats?
SPEAKER_01That's fair. That's fair. Okay, but like you started off quick. Most people ease into it. You just went one, two, really quickly.
SPEAKER_02Not really.
SPEAKER_01Okay, you bought one and the same day you committed to a second. How is that not quick?
SPEAKER_02No, no, I'm saying like most people who get into horses will ride for a few months and then they're like, okay, I want to buy a horse. I rode for two years.
SPEAKER_01Okay, okay, I got you. Anyway, uh, what was I gonna say about the horses? I had a question for you. Have you gone faster on doc yet? Or are you still just loping around?
SPEAKER_02No, we're still loping because I I'm we're still working on like our communication. Because like everybody has like a style. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01Your style's your style's slow.
SPEAKER_02So it's like I need to learn his style and he needs to learn my style. Like we need to mesh, and you have to start slow, and then you work your way up. So we're working our way up, we're still getting to know each other, we're still bonding, we're doing really good though. Every every day I ride him, it's better and better and better.
SPEAKER_01But now you're gonna be spending less time bonding with Doc, and now you gotta bond with the other horse, too.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you you bond with both. It's like I'll ride Doc for an hour, 45 minutes to an hour, get off him, go ride Fabby for 45 minutes to an hour.
SPEAKER_01Okay, real real question for like someone that's very serious, I'm not saying you're not, but like someone that's professional barrel racer, how many hours a day do they train?
SPEAKER_02Um I don't know. They have multiple different horses because when you're that, if if you're like trying to compete to go to the NFR, you have multiple horses that isn't you are yourself are in constant training. Your horses are in constant training because if one gets hurt, you need a backup. And if that backup gets hurt, you need a backup. Or if you run and you don't like the way you ran and you have another race the next day, you're like, okay, I'm gonna run this horse and see which one I liked better. So, like every barrel racer that I look up to and I follow, they have multiple horses.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I get that. I get that. Okay. I'm just curious. Um, anything else other than your horses updates?
SPEAKER_02Just like I genuinely can't stop buying horse stuff.
SPEAKER_01It like That's fun.
SPEAKER_02It's a disease.
SPEAKER_01But you already had the shopping disease before the horse game. Yeah, but but now it's not even crazy. I know, it's yours targeted somewhere else.
SPEAKER_02I don't even buy crap for me anymore. Like, I don't want clothes, I don't want makeup, I don't know. I want stuff for my horses.
SPEAKER_01Well, uh, you've got it because you've been buying it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Anyway, uh Megan came into town last weekend, and that was a lot of fun. Her and her and the boys.
SPEAKER_02Ugh. I missed them.
SPEAKER_01Um that's okay. Sorry. They were with me, so it's alright. Uh but they had fun. We had a good time. Lots of swimming. Um Megan got to see the our new fence that just got built. Oh, how's the fence? It is big and long. And that's what she said. But it is great.
SPEAKER_02Does it look good? Does it look like what you pictured?
SPEAKER_01Yes, it does. That's good. They did a good job. So it'll keep the boys trapped in the yard and they won't have any issues. So it'll be great.
SPEAKER_02Amazing. We love that.
SPEAKER_01Except okay, except for my freaking annoying neighbor. Okay. Wait. Since I've already told the Which one? The one that speeds down the other. Yep. Right. So the fence just got put in. And it it's literally the entire long driveway. It's huge. And she texted me yesterday. She's like, the fence looks great, but are you gonna put the no-climb wire on my side or on my fence at the end as well?
SPEAKER_02I was like, Why would you put out on her fence?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I said, I said, uh, no, is that a concern for you? And she's like, Well, yeah, because I'm worried that your boys will climb because her fence is like a ranch style fence where it has like three walls rows. She's like, I'm concerned your boys will climb through my fence and go get in my pool, or um, or get onto the road, the driveway. And this fence is so far into the the property. And she's like, and our boys aren't freaking rabid dogs. We're just gonna go try and jump through a fence to go run into her pool or something. And so I was like, I said, Do you not have a fence around your pool? Meaning like, because that's illegal not to do that. Right. And she's like, She's like, Yes, but I I leave the gates open a lot. Well, okay, so they close that.
SPEAKER_02You want me to so then close your gate? Problem solved.
SPEAKER_01Close your fence, you biotch? And then she goes, um and she's like, Yeah, but I I leave it open a lot, and just so you know, there are lots of coyotes that will come up and down the driveway.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01And so she tried to scare us to put in no climb wire to stop the coyotes from going in our yard. And then I talked to the other neighbor about it. She's like, she's so full of it. There's hardly ever coyotes that come over here, but like so. This lady was trying to scare me into paying money to put no climb wire on her fence.
SPEAKER_02It's like if you're that concerned about it, either shut your pool gate like a normal person, or get no climb wire and pay for it yourself.
SPEAKER_01Like it was insane. It just really pissed me off because she's the one, like, she was the main reason why we're just gonna- Why you even got the fence. Yeah, and so I really wanted to respond. Uh, no, but maybe you should slow your ass down so it's not a concern whether there's my kids climb through your fence or not and just close your freaking uh pool gate. But like those two things aren't even a concern. The boys aren't gonna do that. And the pool is on the other side of her house.
SPEAKER_02Like, yeah, she thinks that the boys are like gonna escape in the middle of the night and like go jump in her pool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it is the biggest thing ever.
SPEAKER_02I don't understand.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't get it either. So uh and then also on our because we have we have the big long shared driveway. She put massive no parking signs on the trees because she doesn't want our construction workers parking in the driveway.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh, how can she do that?
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, it's technically she owns the driveway. Uh but no one is no one is parking in it. Like I've told the workers not to park, no one has done it. I've come around a lot to all park in our our front driveway. Yeah, but she's like so concerned that she's gonna get trapped and won't be able to pull out of her driveway.
SPEAKER_02So she's just oh my gosh, I can't.
SPEAKER_01She's just a complainer.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she is.
SPEAKER_01And then um, I was talking to my other neighbor, and she loves to gossip.
SPEAKER_02Ooh, I love that.
SPEAKER_01And I hope this doesn't somehow get to any of them. But anyway, so then my neighbor was like, Yeah, and have you met her new boyfriend?
SPEAKER_02And I was like, We have, we have met him.
SPEAKER_01And I guess they're getting married here soon.
SPEAKER_02Ooh, fun.
SPEAKER_01In October, and the neighbor was like, I hope she has a prenup because like this new boyfriend's like, you know, you saw him, he's he's a lot younger, and he looked a little different. Um, but I don't know, it was weird, but she has lots of money because it's from her dead husband. Yeah, and so my neighbor thinks that he's trying to steal it from her.
SPEAKER_02So I mean crazier things have happened.
SPEAKER_01I want to put it past him, and then I guess I was like, oh, so are they gonna move out of the house? And she's like, no, I guess they're gonna live separately because she likes her space.
SPEAKER_02This lady's kind of kooky.
SPEAKER_01Kind of?
SPEAKER_02If you're getting married, why get married? Just stay boyfriend and girlfriend and live separately.
SPEAKER_01I yeah, I don't get that. Like, what's the point of getting married?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, if you're not gonna live together and you like your space, you're old. Stay boyfriend and girlfriend.
SPEAKER_01And you have tons of money. Like, just keep your money and your finances separate and all that other stuff and just live separate.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01I I don't get it. But lots of drama in the neighborhood. It's uh but it's just funny because every new neighbor I meet just spills all the gossip to me about everybody around them.
SPEAKER_02You know what? I love that. I love a neighbor who will gossip because you wanna you wanna get to know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but it's also kind of annoying because like they just love to throw all the problems, and it's just like well no, you have to appreciate the information. Yeah, I know. And I have to act so like, whoa, that's crazy to everything they say. But anyway, that was my experience in the neighborhood, and uh my neighbor sucks. I mean And I hope she hears us.
SPEAKER_02You could have a worse neighbor. I mean, remember when I got sued? I got taken to small claims court. You know what? And if that if that Nephi guy ever sees it, fuck you, Nephi.

SPEAKER_02She thought my lighting was too dark compared to yours. She wanted me to brighten it up. So we're brightening it up today. Then she said, she goes, first of all, why does Zach have to say tits so many times? You want to know how she spelled it? T starts. Like she couldn't, she couldn't even spell the word tits out. That is why does Zach have to say tits so many times? And I hope no matter what you would say no, all cops have body cams, and you would end up on TikTok for criminals. What is wrong with you?
SPEAKER_00Could you imagine the freaking body cam of Amy just like, sure, we'll do it.
SPEAKER_02Okay, fine. Woo!
SPEAKER_01And then it would be so funny because the guy would be like, ma'am, I'm gonna have to arrest you for judging the cop.
SPEAKER_02Like, oh, and you're busted. Oh, and then and then she goes, I didn't even see this. She goes, also, we should go legally change your name to Amy Grace. I love it.
SPEAKER_00Uh Amy Grace. That is so funny.
SPEAKER_02She is wild.
SPEAKER_01She's funny. She gives some great feedback.
SPEAKER_02You know, she does. And but yeah, she's not gonna like that I said the F-word. Did I tell the Nephi story? I can't remember if I did.
SPEAKER_01No, that one was an interesting one. That was a wild one.
SPEAKER_02It's literally only because his father-in-law is like the developer guy of the neighborhood that I lived in. And so he knew like all like the ins and outs of like the C C R's and the loopholes and whatever. Anyway. So my house is done. Finally, it gets done being built. There's already a fence there. Before my house was even done, there was already a fence in the C C Rs of my neighborhood. It says if you put a fence on the property line, then both neighbors are responsible for paying for the fence. Okay, so you talk about it, and if you want your neighbor to help you pay for it, maybe pick out the fence. Maybe pick out the fence together. Because he did a fence, and then my backyard neighbor did a fence, and then my other side neighbor did a fence. All three different colors. And then he comes walk waltzing into my house after he sold his house was on the market. He was trying to sell it. I'm parked in my garage. He comes walking into my garage, knocks on my window, and goes, Here's an invoice. It looked like his 10-year-old drew the invoice. It looked so fake to me. It literally was just like fence invoice, $1,600. That's all it was. And I was like, well, how do I even know this is exactly what you paid for it? You didn't ask me if I would even split it with you. The fence has been in for months. The only reason why you're doing it is because you're trying to get every nickel and dime you can out of this freaking house.
SPEAKER_01So I was about to move too. The house is about to be sold. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's why he was trying to get every nickel and dime.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, insane.
SPEAKER_02So I was like avoiding this guy like the plug. So I was like, I'm not paying this. Like he didn't even ask me. Like the least he could have done was been like, hey, would you want to go have seas on the fence?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. The fact that I remember this. You were literally just in your garage, him walking up to you, not even like going and approaching you at your front door or trying to talk to you. He just literally walked up and said, here's an invoice. I unfortunately it's because you're just a girl by yourself. Like that he felt that he can just come and do that. If you would have had, you know, someone else with you, like that would have been that would not gone over well. Yeah. If it would have been a guy, I would have been wanting to like freaking throw hands at this guy for walking up, not even having the like decency to say, hey, like I'm Nephi, or you know, it's great to have you as a neighbor. Just let you know we put this fence in and it's part of the agreements. Like, you know, just like a super nice way to approach it. But he just walked up, like, pay me money.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he literally was like, Hey, I live right there. Here's this invoice. You owe me money. And I was like, What? Like, I you didn't even talk to me about it, and the fence has been in for months. I just moved in. Anyway, so I started avoiding this guy. He's texting me, calling me, being like, Are you gonna give me the money? Are you gonna give me the money? Send me the check. I'm like, no, I'm not giving you $1,600 because you didn't ask me. I didn't even get to pick it out. I have three different colored fences now, thanks to this guy. Anyway. Then you and Megan move in.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02And all of a sudden I get a call from Zach and he's like, uh, there's a sheriff at the door trying to serve you papers.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02And I was like, what? So then the sheriff came to Shannon's house and he was like, Hey, are you Amy? And I was like, Yeah. And he was like, Okay, you're being served. Here you go. He's gonna take you to small claims court if you don't pay this.
SPEAKER_01And wait, remember I had a call with him too. You did? He was like, Yes, I called him.
SPEAKER_03Wait, I don't remember this.
SPEAKER_01He said he told you or someone that like I said I was the hammer bringing down the hammer or some weird thing like that.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah. He was like, Well, are you Amy's hammer? You're bringing down the hammer? Oh yeah, I remember when he said that.
SPEAKER_01What when I called him though, I was I was brutal. I was like kind of crazy.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah, because it you don't sugarcoat things, and it the whole situation is just it was so bizarre because it's like common sense, it's like you put in the fence months before I moved in, so yeah, you're gonna pay for it. Don't expect me to pay for it. I didn't sign anything.
SPEAKER_01But even then, it's like if you just approached like a normal person, then you would have heard him out a little bit more and been like, Yeah, okay, like I get it. And then maybe like you probably would have done it, just knowing like you, but the fact that uh I don't know, the way he acted.
SPEAKER_02No, he was such a douche. So finally I was like, okay, well, I don't want to go to freaking small claims court. It is in the CCNRs that if it's on the pro which, by the way, if you're the developer, you should change that because that's not okay. You can't just one neighbor can't just put in a fence with no input, no feedback, and then expect the other neighbor who moves in three months later to fork up sixteen hundred dollars. Or what if he put in like a really expensive fence and was like, you owe me $10,000? I don't have $10,000. I barely had the $1,600. It just made me mad again. Like I'm mad. Like that pissed me off because he knew exactly what he was doing, and he tried to frame it as like I was being a bad neighbor because I wasn't paying my share. So he emailed me the motion that he had to file to dismiss the thing, and he said, Amy, I've attached the motion to dismiss my small claims case for your records. SPEAKER_01So that was our those are some good neighbor stories. Neighbors can be a lot. Yeah. Um. But last a couple of a couple days ago. Uh wait, did we already talk about how Megan left her bag or lost her bags?
SPEAKER_02No, we haven't talked about that yet.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she. Okay. She felt pretty dumb, but I've done this too. And I told her that. But she kept saying she felt pretty dumb. But she was at the airport after she uh came back from Dallas. And she was in a hurry. She has the two boys, they're going crazy, and she grabs the bag that looks identical to hers and takes it home. And then when she she got home, she got a call saying that she took the wrong bag. What if there would been something insane in that bag?
SPEAKER_02Well, first of all. So I picked her up. So like I got out of the car, I was helping her load it. It like it's not I wasn't like, wait, this isn't our bag. Like it's not like it was like so like obvious. It literally was our bag. So we're like loading all the boys up, putting them in their car seats. We're home for maybe 10 minutes, maybe 20 minutes, because Megan started making mac and cheese for the boys. And my mom calls Megan and she's like, Megan, you took somebody's bag. And Megan was like, What are you talking about? No, I didn't. I took my bag. Then she goes and flips over the tag. Not our bag.
SPEAKER_01Brutal.
SPEAKER_02So then I called Delta because I'm like, I'm not. At this point, it was like 11:30. I'm like, I'm not driving all the way back up to the airport. If like the little like baggage claim area is gonna be closed. So I call Delta. I'm like, we took the wrong bag. How late do you guys stay open? They're like, we're open till 1 a.m. So we had to turn around, drive back to the airport at midnight. She had to go inside, get her bag. Like, so annoying. But there was a girl in there. Megan said there was a girl in there, and she was like in there for the exact same reason. Like she was like, I took somebody's bag that looked exactly like my bag, and it's a Bayes bag. Like, not to hate on Bass because I love their luggage. But when everybody has the same cute luggage.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's like you gotta do something to make it different, but I don't know how you would do that.
SPEAKER_01That's what you start selling. Some stickers. Or some like decorative something. Or like little uh handle charms.
SPEAKER_02I actually do have a handle charm on not a charm, but it's just like a it's like a different name tag. I just got it from Amazon.
SPEAKER_01Interesting.
SPEAKER_02So I always know that that one's mine, but yeah, I used to never check.
SPEAKER_01But I did do that once. I grabbed someone else's bag, went home with it. Um but you have to check every time. You have to check. Everyone has the same bags. Um but what would you do if you come home, you open your bag, it's not your bag, but it has just loads of cash in it.
SPEAKER_02I would call the cops.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you would? You're not gonna keep some of the cash?
SPEAKER_02No, what if it's like laced with something? What if the mob comes after you? What if the cartel comes after you because they're looking for their cash? I don't want anything to do with that.
SPEAKER_01You'll flash the cops to get out of a ticket, but won't take some of the money in a bag?
SPEAKER_02No, no. I didn't have it. I never said that I would do that. I said I wouldn't do that.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. But yeah, that's true. If there was a bag full of cash, there'd be someone bad behind it. So you really couldn't keep it. But that'd be wild. Yeah, Megan Megan felt pretty dumb about that, but I don't I didn't think it was that crazy. It is sucks though when you travel. Well, I mean and then some what?
SPEAKER_02I left my bag at the hotel thinking that the concierge guy was gonna bring it out to me in Europe. Like the bell boy, there was no bell boy. The hotels we were staying in were disgusting. There's no bell boy. Somehow I thought, because I'm a spoiled little brat, that the bellboy was gonna come out and bring my bag, and it was magically gonna end up in the bus, and then it didn't, and we're in a whole new country, and I'm like, wait, my suitcase isn't on here, and they're like, Well, did you put it on? I was like, No, the bell boy did, and they're like, There was no bell boy. So it's like that was dumber.

SPEAKER_01Okay. So this one. This one is I thought this was interesting, and I'm not sure what I would do in this scenario. Um so it says, my son worked incredibly hard throughout high school. He earned great grades and received a full ride scholarship to university. He also started working at 16, is now a junior in college with zero debt. He's now seriously dating a girl whom we really like. However, she has about $30,000 in student loan debt after maxing out her student loans and not making the best financial financial decisions with them. They're talking about getting married, and a part of me is struggling with the fact that my son worked so hard to graduate with zero debt, uh, yet through no choice no choice of his own, he'll be entering a marriage that includes $30,000 in debt student loan. Or oh my gosh. Are you good?

SPEAKER_01Yeah, it includes $30,000 of student loan debt. So, do I have the right to feel a little upset about that?
SPEAKER_02Yes, but hold on, I just drank a lot of Diet Coke, so Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_02Oh, I just hit the microphone. So as Zach and I have discovered, let's like take a trip down memory lane of the neighbors. It could always be worse. Could it be better because he could marry somebody with no student debt? Yes. But that is like slim to none these days. Everybody has student debt except for me because I didn't go to school.
SPEAKER_01And me.
SPEAKER_02And Zach, because his wife is a hustler.
SPEAKER_01Well, actually, I I paid for most of that.
SPEAKER_02Whatever. Anyway.
SPEAKER_01So it's like she paid the rent. She paid the rent. But keep going.
SPEAKER_02So it's like $30,000 in the big grand scheme of things is not a lot because there are people out there who are hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt, and they will never get out of it because they're just paying the interest. They can't even touch the principal. So when you look at it like that, it's like, yeah, is it annoying? Yeah, it is annoying because your son, like you said, worked incredibly hard so that he didn't have any debt. But if this is the love of his life, and if that is the only thing that you don't like about her, 30 grand, I think that's doable compared to some people out there who are like half a million in debt.

SPEAKER_02And at least it's in student loans because this girl that I know, her older sister got married, and she was in like almost a hundred K in credit card debt. I would personally rather have student loan debt than credit card debt.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. No, no, anybody would rather have that. That is no-brainer.
SPEAKER_02So if this if she ticks every other box of hit for him and for you as his mother and the dad and the family, if if you guys like her, other than the fact that she has 30k in student debt, I think we're gonna be okay. It could always be worse.
SPEAKER_01Here's my thing. I have a couple points, and I hope people don't hate me too bad. But it all depends on her attitude, I think, with this. If she's actually planning on graduating and she's gonna get it done, I think that's great. And I don't know anything about their background. Let's just say, for example, she doesn't even want to work and she just wants to be a mom, which is great. Some some women don't want to do that, some do. Some want to work, some don't. That's great. Let's just say she doesn't. Because I can see that being like, okay, she's not even gonna, she doesn't have a plan to work anyway, she just wants to stay at home. But I think it's an amazing example for future, like your future kids of getting an education and having both parents, you know, getting their degree and everything. Like that's awesome.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And so I think that's that, in my opinion, is worth the 30 grand. She may not be like doing the best things with it, or maybe she's spending some of the uh loans, maybe not the right way, but like she's a kid. Like she's we were all that age and did stupid stuff and didn't the best decisions. Um maybe your son is perfect and does everything right, like that's great, but like not everyone is. So that was my first point. Second point, and this is kind of terrible, but like I've s I know friends that went to very good universities and left with like hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt and got degrees that literally like don't pay anything. You know what I mean? Like they got degrees that are very like fluffy, that have like no world real world translation. And so they're left with hundreds of thousands of debt making not that much money. And it's like, you know what? They're following their passion, they're doing what they want to do, like that's fine. Like you know what I mean? Like, it's just a monthly expense that you just kind of tick off and pay, and over time you eventually get it done. And maybe this is another crazy thing to say, maybe a president will come along and forgive it all, like they tried to do already. Yeah. You never know what's gonna happen. So I personally don't view view student loan debt as a major red flag because everybody has it. And you're trying to get an education, better yourself. If it's credit card debt, that's a whole nother story. Yeah. It's not that. So I think it's an overreaction. This should not stop them from getting married. And it sounds like the the soon-to-be husband, her son, is super motivated himself and they'll find a plan to pay it off in a short time. Like it's gonna be okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I agree because yeah, I just student loan debt doesn't bother me. Credit card debt does bother me.
SPEAKER_01If she had card debt is a major risk.
SPEAKER_02If she had like five different credit cards and she was in debt in all of them and could barely pay it off, I would be like, uh, yeah, that's a red flag. She should go watch Confessions of a Shopaholic.

SPEAKER_02Well, I'm not in credit card debt.
SPEAKER_00So you are so blessed.
SPEAKER_02Not me. But I do love that movie. But I can't remember where I was going with that. But my point, my point always is it could always be worse.

SPEAKER_02And like maybe I am so out of touch. 30 grand for student loans does not seem like that much.
SPEAKER_01I mean, say you went to BYU.
SPEAKER_02That is so low compared to so many other people that I know who are truly like $350,000 in debt.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. Yeah, I know some people. Like that's for doctors, but except for doctors paid off very quickly. Right. Like I knew I knew someone. Um she was at business school with me, and her husband was a doctor and had was just finishing residency, and they were like super into debt. But he's gonna make, you know, tons of money coming out of it. She's gonna make tons of money, and they'll pay it off quickly. Like, that's just part of the game. Like that's what you have to do. And I think it's tough for older people to hear that amount of money for student loan debt because their education, you know, 30 years ago was so much cheaper than it is today.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Tuition, tuition just keeps getting like skyrocketing up and up every single year. And so it's it's such a different amount. Like that sounds insane to people for maybe that went to school a long time ago, but now, like, as you said, it's really not that much in the grand scheme of things.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Like going back to the credit cards, there are people who are in more debt in credit cards than 30 grand.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's terrifying. Like that is terrifying.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I just really I really just don't think that's like a red flag.
SPEAKER_01I mean, you're a little out of touch, but that's okay.
SPEAKER_02Especially because, like, what if okay, say she went to like this really good university where their tuition is a lot higher than like, I don't know, UVU or BYU, whatever it is.

SPEAKER_02What if she was on scholarship for majority of it? So then m some of her student loan debt got paid and she's just left with 30 grand. Like, so she's a hard worker, she's a hustler, too, and you're holding this 30 grand over this poor girl's head.

SPEAKER_02I don't know. What do I know though?
SPEAKER_01That's a fact. No, I think you're right. It's it's not a big deal. Yeah. That's the big thing to me. Don't let it stop those two being together. It'll the they'll find their way to get through it.

SPEAKER_01And actually it could be really good because they could start their marriage communicating, having a plan to pay off their debt, budgeting. So I mean, Megan and I still struggle with our finances.

SPEAKER_01No, I think it's uh the girls year-round thing. I know people that are extremely good at it. They stick to it, they have a full plan. One of my friends was actually showing me his whole family plan and what they do and how much they spend each month, how much they're saving. All like planned out and how much they're gonna have in a couple years, so then they can hopefully retire early. Like, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, wow. You know, Michael told me the other day that he wanted me to make a spreadsheet of all my horse expenses, and I was like, I don't actually think you want me to do that.

Can you speak more about what it's like to join a family where the other in-laws have a lot of history and you're the youngest slash newest? Okay. Yeah, I mean, she kind of already answered the question. Because Taylor and Drew have known each other. Literally since like high school.
SPEAKER_02I think since like middle school.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they've known each other forever.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, it it was a little weird. No, it wasn't weird, but it was just like joining. It's like, you know, you join a friend group, but like everyone's been friends forever. And you're kind of like, you don't, you're not a part of all the inside jokes in the industry.

SPEAKER_01Very similar feeling. But I know that. And it's not like weird for me or anything. And also they're not like a lot older, but they're older than me.
SPEAKER_02So it's Yeah, they're like 10 years older than you.
SPEAKER_01Yes, it's all different phases of life and everything. And they live right next to each other. They have lived next to each other for a long time. Emily and Rachel, both they're families, they do everything together. It's just different. We all live on the other side of the I live somewhere else, have lived somewhere else the entire time, basically, since I've been a part of the family. Like I don't know. I I think people sometimes read too much into it. That like I'm not a fri I'm not I'm not friends with them, or I don't talk to them, or I'm not like hang out there. Because you are friends with them.
SPEAKER_02Like when you guys did Draper Dads, like you guys had a lot of fun together, but I mean, majority of your marriage, you and Megan have lived on the other side of the country.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So it's like when Drew and Taylor see each other three, four, five times a week.

SPEAKER_02Yeah, and they've known each other since middle school. Of course they're gonna be closer. And they're the same age. They have kids the same age, they have kids that are doing the same sports, go to the same studio, they're on the same basketball teams. It's like, yeah, duh. But that doesn't mean that you guys aren't friends.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Like we're uh we're all good. We're friends. Yeah, maybe I'm not as close with them as they are together. Like, and that doesn't bug me.

SPEAKER_01I don't know. Uh and it's I think for people that join a family like that, you just have to recognize the dynamics and uh maybe don't have any like expectations or or like act like you should be a part of all those things. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_01If because if you come in, if I were to c like asking you, like if I were to come into the family and been like annoyed that I maybe I didn't understand all inside jokes, or I wasn't being invited to everything, or wasn't hanging with Taylor and Drew all the time, I think you guys would have thought that would have been really weird.

SPEAKER_01And I also think you've had you have had people date you.

SPEAKER_01Or like go on go on dates with you, and have had tried to like really hard to get to know the brother-in-laws and try to become really tight with them, and it's just weird every single time.
SPEAKER_02Well, I've also had people tell me, like, guys that I've dated, like, I've had them be like when you're with your sisters, like you just talk to them, and like I feel left out, or like I I don't even know. I can't even explain it. And I'm just like, well, yeah, they're my sisters. Of course you're gonna I mean, not of course you're gonna feel left out, but like when we're sitting at dinner and we're talking about something, like we're telling a story, like of course it's like you're not gonna we're telling you the story. Like, of course you're not gonna know all the history.
SPEAKER_01No, I I get it though. It's it can be weird coming into the family, especially when you guys are like, I don't know, you guys are like extremely close. Like, I don't think there's many families as close as you guys are like post-marriage. And uh yeah, it can be it can be awkward, not awkward, but just like you kind of feel like the odd one out sometimes at the beginning, but then you just kind of realize like that's just how they are, and even Shannon feels left out sometimes. It's not like I feel left out, it's just it kind of feels like uh the teenage girls friend group at lunch.
SPEAKER_02No, even that's what I'm saying. Like, even our own mom is like, wait, like, I don't know. Like, she's like, Well, why am I not on the sisters text? And it's like, well, you're not a sister, and she's like, Well, I kind of am, and it's like, but no, you're our mom. And we have a text with all the sisters and Shannon, but we also have a text without Shannon, and she she doesn't like that, she feels left out.

SPEAKER_01This is funny. So whenever you want to travel, someone comes to your house, puts you to sleep, takes you, and takes, flies you to wherever you want to go, and then wakes you up when you get there.
SPEAKER_02No, no, I would be too scared for that. No, I wouldn't be able to do that. Because like what if what if they like do something to you?
SPEAKER_01I mean, I guess.
SPEAKER_02What if you wake up and you're like sex trafficked?
SPEAKER_01Okay, yeah. This would probably be a very expensive premium service. Like they probably put you on a private jet. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, stranger things have happened.
SPEAKER_01I'm just saying it was a funny business idea, okay? Gosh. I mean, but it would actually be like if you think about it logistically, it would actually be pretty sweet.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm just like not that trusting.
SPEAKER_01As we found, we talked about before, I'm very trusting. So could you imagine though? You're just like, oh, here they are. Zonk, wake up on the beach of Hawaii.
SPEAKER_02What if they like harvest your organs and some on the black market and you wake up and you're like, where are all my organs?
SPEAKER_01Okay, if that happens, I'm probably dead. But yeah.
SPEAKER_02Or like as a girl, as a girl, like what if they you okay.
SPEAKER_01Thank you. I get it. It wasn't my business idea. I thought it was funny, and I thought this would be a service you would use.
SPEAKER_02Nope. You thought wrong.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Speaking of okay, this is very random. No, I won't tell that story. It was about having your organs harvested.
SPEAKER_02Oh. Have you looked into that?
SPEAKER_01No, but one time. So I served in LDS mission in Mozambique. I was in Mozambique, and uh what we would do, like, whenever we wanted to get somewhere, they had public transportation, like these vans that you could get in, and they'd just be crowded and they're they're wild. But we'd also flag people down for hitchhiking. And so we would like be on the side of the road and hitchhiking to go find some, you know, to go somewhere. And uh we f we started to hear that there was people in this area that we were at like picking up hitchhikers and then harvesting their organs and then killing them.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh, that is so scary.
SPEAKER_01Their organs down in South Africa. And so I there's this one night, and I had heard about it, and we're like, eh, whatever, it won't happen to us. Of course, like 19-year-old boy, it will never happen to us. So we get in this car, or so we flag down this ride, and it was like this there's a white guy, and you don't like there's never any white guys that we'd see in this area. And uh, and he just like when I saw him, he just like gave me like the weirdest feeling. I was like, there's something off with this guy. And so then we get in the car, and luckily, me, myself and my companion, we're we were pretty big compared to him. But anyway, so we get in his car and we start driving, and we told him where we want to go. And so we start driving that, we're going that direction, and all of a sudden he turns down this road. And we're like, dude, like where are you going? We don't we need to go that way, not this way. He's like, no, no, no, just just a second, just a second. And so then we keep driving, and then he turns down again and like goes deeper into this neighborhood, and like it is on this pitch black street, and it's in what be the nicest area, like there's actual like good houses in this area, which also made it more concerning of like what was he doing? And so he gets down this insanely dark street, there's no one else around, and my companion and I look at each other, we're like, like, we gotta get out of here. And so he literally kind of rolls to a stop, and we both just jump out of the side and start running off, and he's like trying to like grab us to get us back into the car, and we're just like sprinting away, and who knows if he was gonna try and you know harvest our organs or anything.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I would be glad you jumped out of the car.
SPEAKER_01It was wild, it was very wild, but uh sorry, that was a super random story. But we got away. There was nothing, not no issue. Um, I think we could have taken him anyway, but if you had had like a machete or a gun or something, maybe not.
SPEAKER_02I mean, yeah, that is so scary.
SPEAKER_01Is yeah, as you said, I'm very trusting of people. We would just get in anybody's car. Didn't matter who. Just getting in. It was kind of wild.
SPEAKER_02And that's the luxury of being a boy.
SPEAKER_01And a missionary.
SPEAKER_02Well, even girl missionaries, I don't think they would just like go hitchhike and get in some random guy's car.
SPEAKER_01No, but it's like, yeah, being a guy and then missionaries in general, it don't like they just have a fear of God, you know? And so like they know you're there trying to do like preach the gospel, so they usually fe they fear you more. Um but yeah. I I some there was girls in my mission, and I yeah, I feared for them. It was always a little scary.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Anyway, that was a totally off-topic story. Um love to bring in the old mission stories.
SPEAKER_02Shannon's gonna love it.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_02Shannon's gonna love that you're talking about missions and not ta ta's. Because we're not allowed to say the T-word anymore.
SPEAKER_01What about milk makers?
SPEAKER_02Ooh, no, she wants us to say like bosom or something weird like that. Like, I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's funny. Um anything else? Also, Megan was talking about dancing with the stars. I guess they're coming out that spin-off show. It's about to come out.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah. I think her episode's about to come out. Because they said she would be like towards the end.
SPEAKER_01Yep, that's too bad.
SPEAKER_02Shannon, I think she's still like, like now that it's airing, she's like, I think she's a little sad that Megan's not on it.
SPEAKER_01How bad am I at those dances with Megan? Like when you see them, do you cringe?
SPEAKER_02No, because I feel like you just do like lifts. So it's like that that's what you're supposed to do.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02Like it's not like you're out there learning like two counts of eight and like you're doing the dance moves with her. Like You're just standing there and lifting her.
SPEAKER_01What if Megan was like, Zach, and you just start learning how to dance?
SPEAKER_02I would I I would think that's really weird. Especially knowing you. Like it's just like not your personality at all. I would be like, is he okay? Like, let's go get him some help.
SPEAKER_01Just next time I'm gonna be wearing like the button-down shirt, chest hanging out, and Megan and I are gonna do some dances.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, I would be like, someone do a wellness check on Zach because he's not good.
SPEAKER_01Anything to make a buck, you know?
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah. But no.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I mean, yeah, I don't think Megan would want me to do that anyway.
SPEAKER_02And I would never Yeah, you wouldn't want to do that.
SPEAKER_01Do you know how many fights? Not fights, but like arguments Megan and I have gotten over.
SPEAKER_02I mean gotten in because of her wanting me to do something that I just want she wants you to do like a TikTok skit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Not a skit. Like usually it's a dance thing.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah. Well, I I do understand the dance thing because like I don't want to do a TikTok dance.
SPEAKER_01No. And she'll be and she always like under promises, like, or she'll be like, oh, it's not that bad. It's not it's not that much of dance or anything like that. And then she starts showing me, and I'm like, how on the F do you expect me to learn how to do this? Yeah, because it comes so easy to her.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so she's like, oh, it's just easy.
SPEAKER_01And you're like she watches it once and she knows it. And I'm like, this is gonna take me an hour.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no. Me and Michael get into the same fights, but ours isn't like a dance. It's like I want him to mouth the words. But he really only did that for the wicked one. And I had to write, I had to write out the script so that he could read it off the piece of paper. But I will say, when I go pick up my second horse, we're doing the Lisa Barlow sound, and he will be doing it. I don't know what that is, but Lisa Barlow is on Real Housewives of Salt Lake, and this last season she said, I own a horse. It's nothing grand, it's just for me, and I'm thinking about buying a second one. And Angie Kay is like, Oh, like, wow, okay, a second horse. What are you gonna do with the second horse? And she goes, It's nobody's business. So I'm gonna make Michael do that because I think it's hilarious because I always say it's nobody's business, including his, what the horse costs. And I'm getting a second horse, and everybody is like, what are you gonna do with the second horse? It's perfect.
SPEAKER_01You are wild. Some of the things you say, I'm just like, wow. Like what? Just the nobody's business thing of how much a horse costs. I think, and it's not as you're saying that to your own dad. Like well. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You're you're funny. And I am excited to do the horse podcast with you when we both got to.
SPEAKER_02No, we need to get you a saddle.
SPEAKER_01We will. We'll figure it out.
SPEAKER_02Because I don't think Big Back over there is gonna fit in my teeny tiny little saddle.
SPEAKER_01You call me a big back?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, okay.
SPEAKER_02No, I'm just kidding. But you do need your own saddle.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I do. And I think it's gonna be good though. We'll figure it out. I'm excited. I'm a little nervous. Horses scare me.
SPEAKER_02But no, we'll throw you on doc. You'll be just fine.

SPEAKER_02He's a good boy. Because you want to know why? He just he's so lazy, like he's just like, please just let me walk. Like he wants to walk. He doesn't really want to go fast. So he's perfect for you.
SPEAKER_01That's great. Uh also, oh, that's what I was gonna say. Because we were talking about the dances. If I were to like flash back 10 years ago and show myself all of the TikToks and things that I have done on social media with Megan and even this podcast.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, would you believe it?
SPEAKER_01I think I'd hate myself.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh. That's so stupid. I'm just saying like stupid.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm just saying like the way I was back then. Obviously, I've changed a lot. Yeah. But back then, I would have been like, this guy is a freaking loser.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, probably.
SPEAKER_02Well, I mean, I just like you just think like yourself 10 years ago, at least for me, you think you cool you're cooler than you are. You're more worried about what everybody thinks, and so you're trying to like do everything perfect, and not just like do things for yourself. You're I I feel like you kind of do things maybe a little bit for other people. And like the I don't know, like the optics or like the looks of it, whatever. Anyway, so I do get that. Like 10 years ago, your self would be like, What is like what are you doing? It's embarrassing.
SPEAKER_01Seriously. I remember my goals like what I would have been 21. My goals for the next 10 years, like I'm far off of those.
SPEAKER_02Same.
SPEAKER_01You know, I was I was supposed to have freaking a business and all these other things going.
SPEAKER_02And I was supposed to be married for eight years and have like five kids.
SPEAKER_01What do you do?
SPEAKER_02So what I do on I'm gonna go ride my horse.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I love that. Any dating updates?
SPEAKER_02Um I don't know. Megan was like, I was telling her the story and she was like dying laughing. But like, I don't know if I want to say. Like, I don't know if I want to expose myself and the guy.
SPEAKER_01Why? Is it that bad? Like, if if they heard about it, would they be like pissed?
SPEAKER_02I don't think they'd be pissed, but it's just like I don't know if I would want to hear it, like on a podcast, yeah.
SPEAKER_01But no, but no one would know who it is, except for him. Yeah, so oh I do, okay.
SPEAKER_02So this is this is tied in. So, okay. I I'll just tell the story because whatever. So I meet this guy from Hinge, we go out last week, we go to the rodeo. And this is the thing with Hinge. It's like you gotta go in with zero expectations or else you're gonna get let down. So and also I do not go on hinge dates. Like very rarely, very rarely am I actually going on a hinge date. So it was kind of a big deal that I even was like, okay, yeah, I'm gonna go out with this guy. So I go out with him, he picks me up, we go to the rodeo. It's great. I could just tell, like, there's nothing really there. Yeah, just like vibe wasn't there. Anyway, so yeah. Just like no spark chemistry, whatever you want to call it. So then um he was talking really quiet. And like I am notorious with my friends. Like, even in high school, they would say something and I'd be like, What? Like, I can't hear what you're saying. Like, what? Like, speak up. Like, I am just like hard of hearing, I think. Like, I've I oh like my friends, whenever they impersonate me, they're always like, What? What? Because I just like I can't I can't hear what you're saying. So he and he he talks really quiet.
SPEAKER_01And do you do that face when you said it say it again?
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_01You were like, no, the way you said like oh what like speak up. Yeah, like that face, right there.
SPEAKER_02No, I do not do that face.
SPEAKER_01That's a that at least I don't think I do. She thinks I'm a freaking idiot.
SPEAKER_02No, so he was talking really quiet, and we're at the rodeo, so it's kind of loud, and I kept having to be like, what, what? And at one point, I was so focused on the rodeo because you know, like, rodeo is my jam. Like, I'll go to the rodeo.
SPEAKER_01Keeping notes.
SPEAKER_02No, I was too embarrassed to keep notes, but I definitely took notes in my head.
SPEAKER_01I'm so glad you didn't, you freaking nerd.
SPEAKER_02Um, but like I could go to the rodeo by myself and just like enjoy it because like I just I love it. I think it's so fun. Some people think it's really important. I've told you seven times, yes. Oh, wait. Is it Saturday?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.

SPEAKER_02No, I can't. I have a wedding and I'm a bridesmaid.
SPEAKER_01So this is why I have to ask seven times because you never know what the actual answer is gonna be. But keep going. Keep please finish your story.
SPEAKER_02Um, anyway, so I kept being like, what? And I felt bad because I'm like, but I like genuinely couldn't hear what he was saying. So then half the time I like felt bad for saying what that I just like kind of started to guess what he was saying. And at one point he asked me a question, and I was like, Yeah. And like I could tell by the look on his face that it wasn't like a yes or no answer. Like, I would have had to like elaborate or like just like not a yes or no question. And so I was like, wait, what did you say? Like I can't even remember what he asked me. Anyway, so it just like I don't know, it just like wasn't there, and so then I get home and I'm I'm staying at Emily and Taylor's house because Megan was in Dallas, Shannon and Michael were out of town. I was a scared little girl, I had to go stay with my sister. So I'm at Emily and Taylor's house, and I get this text from this guy who I don't know, but apparently, like he texts me like every six months to a year and like tries to ask me out, and like I just like don't ever respond because like I don't want to go out with him. But he texted me and he goes, I have I have to find it because uh it honestly did kind of creep me out a little bit.
SPEAKER_01Um I hope he's not listening.
SPEAKER_02Well, he he's he might be my stalker, so he might be. He said he said rodeo go well yesterday.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's a little creepy. That's that's wild.
SPEAKER_02And it it just he's and he's probably not creepy. He's probably a nice guy, but like I was talking to Megan about it, and I was like, he texts me like every six months to a year since 2020. It's been six years. You have all the text, it's been six years and DMs.
SPEAKER_01And you've never responded?
SPEAKER_02No. Like his DMs are still in my requests. I I responded a couple times because he texted me and he was like, hey, let's go to dinner, and I didn't have his number, and I was like, Who is this? And then he told me who it was, and I didn't respond. I was like, oh, it's the stalker.
SPEAKER_01Well, dude, if you're listening to this, my guy, let it go.
SPEAKER_02So when he texted me, I was like, How did he know I was at the rodeo? I mean, obviously he was at the rodeo. Do I actually think this kid's a stalker? No. But it did kind of creep me out a little bit because I'm like, dude, I haven't texted you back in years. Like, stop texting me.
SPEAKER_01But the way he slid in was very, very creepy. Well, and like, how was the rodeo last night?
SPEAKER_02Well, and like obviously he's like, rodeo go well.
SPEAKER_01It's like Oh yeah, rodeo go well.
SPEAKER_02Like, did he see that like I don't know, like could he tell that like I wasn't vibing with the like I don't I don't know. It it just it was so weird.
SPEAKER_01Because I mean he's sitting there watching me the entire time.
SPEAKER_02I think he was like sitting there like analyzing like every little thing that I I like talked to with this guy or something. I I don't even know. It it did creep me out, and I was like, Taylor, I'm scared, I have to sleep in your bed. You slept in their Obviously, it was a joke. I was joking. I love to troll Taylor though. My favorite thing is when I'm like, Taylor, like because I moved in on Saturday. I'm like, Taylor, I can't wait to share a bathroom. Because Taylor does not like when I go in his bathroom, because that is like his space.
SPEAKER_01Which I'm like rude.
SPEAKER_02I want to like I want to take a nice shower. I want to get ready with my sister.
SPEAKER_01And he's like, No, you guys are kind of crazy with like using you guys all use the same your parents' bathroom. It's kind of wild. Yeah, it's kind of wild. I wasn't I was not allowed to do that.
SPEAKER_02He's like, There are seven other bathrooms here, go find one. And I'm like, no, but everybody's in here. I feel left out. I want to be with you guys.
SPEAKER_01And he's like Taylor shower.
SPEAKER_02He's like, no, get out. Like the other day I was gonna take a shower and I had all my stuff in there, and he sprinted upstairs so that he could get in the shower first, got all of my stuff, put it outside the door, and locked all the doors.
SPEAKER_01Smart man.
SPEAKER_02I was like, Taylor, that's so rude. And he was like, No, you take the world's longest showers. It's my shower. Go shower in Capri's shower. That's that's really where he draws the line is his bathroom.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, when you come to our house, you will have your own guest shower. You stay over there.
SPEAKER_02But what if I want to get ready ready in your bathroom with Megan?
SPEAKER_01No. No.
SPEAKER_02We I like when we do our makeup together.
SPEAKER_01Cause like you guys can get on FaceTime and talk to each other across the house. There you go.
SPEAKER_02No, it's just not the same. Anyway, I can't remember where I was going. Oh, so then me and Emily were like, we were like, wait, let's tell Taylor that you're scared and you have to sleep in our bed. So then I was like, Taylor, I'm really scared. Like the stalker is gonna come get me. What if he followed me home from the rodeo? I was like, I have to sleep in your room. Like I'll either sleep on the couch or like Emily will sleep in the middle and I'll sleep on the other side of Emily. And like Taylor is so nice that he like sat there for a second and I could tell that because like I actually was like really creeped out when I first got the text because I didn't know who it was until I clicked on the text and like and I was like, oh, it's this one stalker from 2020. Um, so like I think he actually thought that I like was like legit scared. And he was like, Well, like you could sleep on the couch, but that's usually where London sleeps, and like he's like, maybe I'll just go sleep with Graydon. And I was like, I was like, Taylor, I'm kidding. I was like, just set the alarm. But like, if you want to go sleep with Graydon, I'm not gonna complain because I do love their bed.
